A brief introduction to the flanging in the processing technology of stamping parts

by:Fortuna     2021-03-04
Metal stamping parts processing plant, processing stainless steel stamping parts, mechanical parts stamping parts, various metal parts, there are many processes in the stamping process, such as cutting, stretching, bending, spinning, boring, flanging, etc.; today Talking about a brief introduction to the flanging process; stamping parts processing technology flanging can be divided into two categories according to the deformation properties: elongation flanging and compression flanging; elongation flanging is a plane with concave edges and not closed curves. Or curved surface flanging belongs to this type of flanging. The common feature is that the blank deformation zone mainly produces tangential elongation deformation under the action of the trimming tensile stress, so the edge of the stamping part is easy to crack. The deformation of the elongated flat flanging is similar to the flanging. During flanging, the uneven distribution of stress in the deformation zone often leads to the phenomenon that the vertical edge height of the stamped part after flanging is high at both ends and low in the middle. In order to obtain a flat flanging height, the contours of the two ends of the blank should be corrected before flanging; when flanging with elongated curved surfaces, the middle position of the bottom of the blank is prone to wrinkles, and a strong press device should be used in the mold design. To prevent, in addition, in order to create conditions conducive to flanging, to prevent the premature flanging of the middle part from causing excessive elongation or even cracking of the vertical edge, the shape of the punch and the top plate should be adjusted to the workpiece when designing the mold. At the same time, the selection of the stamping direction should ensure the balance of the flanging force in the horizontal direction; the flat or curved flanging performed along the convex and unclosed curve of the compression flanging belongs to the compression flanging, which is characterized by the deformation of the blank The zone is mainly subjected to tangential compressive stress, so the stamped parts are prone to wrinkles during forming. The deformation of compressed flat flanging is similar to stretching. Due to the uneven stress distribution of the erected edge during flanging, the vertical edge height of the part after flanging will appear to be high in the middle and low at both ends. In order to obtain a flush vertical edge, the unfolded shape of the blank should be corrected. When the flanging height is not large, no correction is needed. In addition, when the flanging height is large, the mold should be designed with a material pressing device to prevent wrinkles; the main problem of the compressed curved surface flanging is the instability and wrinkling of the deformation zone. To prevent wrinkles, the die should be properly corrected and stamped. The selection principle of the direction is the same as the elongation type flanging; the article recommends: how to reduce the punching force of the metal stamping die
