Metal stamping is a manufacturing process used to shape or cut metal sheets into specific designs using specialized machinery. It involves using molds to cut, punch, bend or shape the metal into the desired form or size. It's manufacturing process can include different types of metal forming techniques including blanking, punching, bending, coining, embossing, embossing and piercing.
The stamping process is generally divided into forming and separation processes. Fortuna provides professional metal stamping service, mainly customizating and desiging through customer drawings.
It generally goes through 10 steps such as DFM Evaluation, Mold Design, Mold Assembly, Sample Submission, and Mass Production to achieve a project.
1. DFM Evaluation: Analize the design related factors inlcuding material selection, part geometry, tolerances, and ease of production, ensuring it is optimized for the metal stamping process;
2. Material Selection: Choose the right material based on strength, flexibility, corrosion resistance, and other relevant properties;
3. Mold Design: Create a detailed design of the stamping die that will be used to cut, shape, or form the metal;
4. Mold Assembly: Assemble the die tooling, which includes the punch, die, and any other necessary components, such as guides or supports;
5. Sample Submission: Produce initial samples and submit them to the client for approval;
6. Tool and Die Testing & Adjustment and Refinement: Perform rigorous testing to ensure that the mold and stamping process work correctly and consistently. Make any necessary adjustments to the die, tool, or process based on feedback and testing.
7. Mass Production: Set up for full-scale production once the sample has been approved. Begin large-scale production of the stamped parts.
After stamping and forming, we will also perform electroplating, heat treatment, tapping, riveting and other processes on the product according to customer needs to ensure that the product will not be oxidized, deformed and other product defects.
Our company currently has 85 stamping equipments, most of which are high-precision equipment imported from Japan. The main brands are Chin Feng, AOMATE, Aida, DOBBY, etc.
These equipments adopt computer digital control technology, which can adapt to various metal stamping processing processes, are easy to operate, and have the characteristics of high speed and high accuracy.
