Bulging process of hollow blanks in stamping parts

The hollow billet bulging forces the material to stretch in the radial direction to swell out the required convex curved surface, which can be used to manufacture many more complex shaped stamping parts, such as spouts, pulleys, bellows, various joints, etc. The hollow blank bulging of stamping parts is divided into the following two categories according to the different molds. (1) Rigid punch bulging. Rigid punch bulging is the use of a tapered core block to push the sub-punch out around, so that the blank of the stamping part can be formed into the required shape, and the sub-punch mold is mostly helpful to improve the accuracy of the parts. However, the mold structure is complex, the cost is high, and it is difficult to obtain high-precision rotary stamping parts. (2) Soft mold bulging. The principle of soft mold bulging is to use rubber, liquid, gas or steel shot instead of rigid punch. Rubber bulging uses rubber as a convex mold, deforms the rubber under pressure, and expands the blank into the desired shape along the inner wall of the concave mold. The rubber bulging mold has simple structure, uniform blank deformation, and can form many stamping parts with complex shapes. In recent years, polyurethane rubber has been widely used for bulging. Compared with general rubber, it has the advantages of high strength, good elasticity, good oil resistance and long service life.
