Classification of basic processes in stamping parts processing

by:Fortuna     2021-03-06
Due to the different parts shape and size, precision requirements, batch size, raw material performance, etc. in stamping parts processing, the stamping process methods used are diverse. The stamping process can basically be divided into two types: separation process and forming process. The separation process in stamping processing refers to that after the metal sheet is stressed, the stress exceeds the shear strength of the material, which causes the sheet to undergo shear cracks or partial shear cracks. Its purpose is to separate the workpiece (or blank) from the sheet along a certain contour line during the stamping process. According to the required cross-sectional quality, this separation process can be divided into two forms: ordinary blanking, which realizes separation in the form of destruction, and precision blanking, which realizes separation in the form of deformation. And each process includes many blanking forms, such as blanking, trimming, punching and so on. The forming process in the processing of stamping parts refers to the process of forming a certain shape after the blank is subjected to an external force, the stress exceeds the yield strength of the material, and undergoes plastic deformation. Its purpose is to make the stamping blank undergo plastic deformation and transform it into the required workpiece shape without cracks. There are many such deformation forms, such as bending, deep drawing, cold extrusion, bulging and other processes. In order to further improve the production efficiency of stamping parts processing, sometimes more than two basic processes are often combined into one process, which is called a composite process, such as blanking→punching, blanking→drawing→trimming and blanking→punching→ Bend etc. The combination of these different processes can be carried out according to the actual situation required by the workpiece, and most of them are realized by improving the structure of the die. The mold on which the composite process depends on production is called a composite mold, which is a promising and efficient mold, which can greatly improve the production efficiency and reduce the cost of the workpiece, and is convenient for automated production.
