Common sense of precision metal stamping processing

by:Fortuna     2021-04-30
There is a lot of common sense in precision metal stamping processing. There are main measures to reduce manufacturing costs. According to the overall deformation properties of the material, the stamping process is divided into two categories, and the five deformations of the stamping process are three aspects:

1. The main method to reduce manufacturing cost:

1. Improve the level of rationalization of the process.

2. Improve mold design level, reduce process, and improve mold life.

3. Improve the automation and high-speed level of the stamping process to reduce costs.

4. Design a mold for processing each workpiece together.

5. Adopt the method of utilization of progress materials to reduce costs.

2. According to the general deformation properties of the data, the precision metal stamping process is divided into two categories:

1. Separation process: under the action of external force, the stress of the deformed part exceeds the strength limit of the data and the sheet material breaks and separates.

2. Plastic deformation process: under the action of external force, the stress of the deformed part of the sheet metal exceeds the yield limit of the material, but does not reach the strength limit, only a plastic deformation surface is generated to obtain a certain shape and size.

Three, five kinds of deformation of precision metal stamping process

1. Three-dimensional pressing: redistribute the volume and carry the data to change the shape or height of the blank.

2. Zigzag: The flat sheet material is turned into a zigzag piece, and the shape of the zigzag piece is further changed. There are bending, crimping and distortion.

3. Calendering: stamping a flat blank into a hollow part of the required shape, or making further changes to the dimensions of the hollow part.

4. Forming: Use various partial deformations to flatten the shape of parts or blanks. Attributable to the forming deformation, there are undulating forming, flanging, necking, bulging, rounding, and shaping.

5. Selection and blanking: not closing or not closing to separate the part of the data from the other part. Such methods include blanking, punching, trimming, blocking, sectioning, incision, etc.
