What to pay attention to when choosing materials for stamping parts

by:Fortuna     2021-03-07
The choice of materials for stamping parts is very important, and the quality of the material itself also determines the quality of the stamping parts produced. Therefore, stamping plants need to be very cautious when purchasing stamping materials. So, what should we pay attention to when choosing stamping materials? Next, I will share my experience with everyone. 1. The thickness is accurate and well-proportioned. The die used for stamping dies is high-precision, small in gaps. Excessive thickness of the material will increase the deformation force, cause jamming, and even burst the die; too thin a material will endanger the quality of the stamping part, and severely crack during drawing. 2. The surface is smooth, no spots, no scars, no scratches, no surface cracks, etc. All surface defects will remain on the surface of the stamped parts. Crack defects are likely to expand in the whole process of bending, drawing, and forming, resulting in waste. 3. The yield strength is symmetrical and non-directional. In the whole process of drawing, flanging, bulging and other stamping dies, due to the successive occurrence of various compromises, inconsistent plastic deformation and deformation will cause uneven deformation, resulting in inaccurate forming and resulting in defective products or waste. 4. The symmetrical elongation is high. In the compressive strength experiment, the elongation of the test piece just before the neck is called the symmetric elongation. During deep drawing, the deformation of all areas of the sheet should not exceed the symmetrical broadening of the raw material, otherwise the deformation will be uneven. 5. Low flex-strength ratio. The ratio of the strength limit of the raw material to the strength limit is called the yield ratio. The low yield ratio can not only reduce deformation resistance, but also reduce the tendency of wrinkles during deep drawing, reduce the rebound force after bending, and improve the precision of bending parts.
