When a bolt may have several failure forms after being stressed, the bearing capacity corresponding to the several failure forms should be obtained, and the smallest of them is the bearing capacity of the bolt.

d--The diameter of the bolt rod;

The smaller total thickness of the pressure-bearing member in the same direction of force;

The design value of the bearing strength of the hole wall of the bolt connection.
