About the principle of casting impregnation

Infiltration is widely used as a method to deal with pores. In the field of micropore sealing technology, relative to the wall thickness of 5mm castings, we call pores with a diameter below 0.254mm as micropores. These holes are usually difficult to find with the naked eye. In automobile power system and pneumatic hydraulic system castings, the existence of micropores will cause the leakage of the sealed medium, increase the wear of machining tools, and increase the production cost, making it difficult to guarantee the quality of the product. During the use of the product, it will lose its proper function.

The principle of impregnation: impregnation is also called impregnation and infiltration. The impregnant (impregnant) is fully infiltrated into the micropores of the workpiece through the vacuum pressure infiltration equipment, filling the micropore gaps, effectively preventing the leakage and corrosion of the workpiece, so as to achieve the purpose of sealing and leaking.
