With a good die-casting machine, it is not always possible to produce good die-casting parts. It must be the best combination of mold, die-casting machine and die-casting process to produce high-quality die-casting parts. If you have a good mold, a good machine depends on how the craftsmanship connects them organically and gives full play to their role. That is to say, the process formulates the necessary process parameters according to the characteristics of the mold, and these process parameters are guaranteed by the machine. How to use the die-casting machine well? You can start from the following aspects:
1. In terms of injection speed, make full use of the four-stage injection system of the die-casting machine to play the role of each stage speed. Especially the second fast speed and the second fast stroke are very important. Unreasonable adjustments will cause many, many quality problems. (Views on feeding in advance)
2. In terms of pressure, the stability of the system pressure must be ensured, because every performance index of the machine is measured under a stable system pressure. Without a stable system pressure, the good performance of the machine cannot be exerted.
3. In order to produce dense internal castings, it must be pressurized in a timely manner to truly achieve it. Otherwise, when the pressure is increased, the casting has already solidified, and the casting cannot be pressurized. Therefore, the size of the boost pressure of the boost system; the initial pressure (ie touch pressure) of the boost; the speed of the boost; and the initial time of the boost should be organically adjusted. Such as the adjustment of the initial pressure of the booster, the initial pressure of the booster is too small, causing the casting to be poorly filled, and many problems will arise from the surface quality of the casting and the clear outline. If the start time of pressurization is too late, the casting has already solidified, and the effect of pressurization will be lost. Therefore, the time when the boost starts is also crucial. If the machine has a three-curve display, the adjustment status can be viewed from the curve. If there is no curve display, you can carefully observe the quality of the casting to judge.
As for the speed of the pressurization speed and the size of the pressurization, it should be determined by the structure of the casting itself, especially the average wall thickness.
If the process parameters are not adjusted well, the capabilities of the machine cannot be exerted. Even if the pressure build-up time of the machine can reach 10 milliseconds, it is meaningless.
The start time of pressurization Some die casting machines have two control methods: one is pressure control; the other is stroke control. If the pressure control is not well adjusted, the boost may lag behind. Stroke control, if it is difficult to adjust without experience, small changes in the amount of pouring must be re-adjusted. The method of stroke control adjustment: Turn off the boost, and the end of the fast injection stroke can be used as the starting point of the boost.
4. When some molds are changed for production and do not adapt to the performance of the die-casting machine, the quality of the castings and the production efficiency will decrease. This situation occurs when the molds on the smaller tonnage die-casting machine are transferred to the new larger-tonnage die-casting machine. Some manufacturers will use this to conclude that the large press is not as good as the small die-casting machine. In this case, the gating system and exhaust system of the mold should be properly adjusted to suit the performance of the die-casting machine. This is because the machinery and equipment have changed, and certain properties have also changed. The original process parameters may not be suitable for the mold. In this case, it is necessary to re-establish the working parameters. If the adaptability of the original mold to the process parameters is very narrow, it may be difficult to produce on the new machine. In this case, the pouring and arranging system must be properly repaired to make the mold adaptable to the process parameters. It is wider, so that good die-casting parts can also be produced. If the mold needs to be moved to production, it is recommended that the tonnage of the machine is not too different.
