Misunderstanding 1: The tighter the bolt, the better

There are many fasteners connected by bolts and nuts on automobiles. It should be ensured that they have sufficient pre-tightening force, but they should not be over-tightened. If it is overtightened, the connector will be permanently deformed under the action of external force.

Misunderstanding 2: The more oil the better

If the engine oil is too much, the crankshaft handle and the big end of the connecting rod will be violently agitated when the engine is working, which not only increases the internal power loss of the engine, but also increases the amount of oil splashed on the cylinder wall, resulting in burning Drain oil failure. Therefore, the oil in the engine oil pan should be controlled between the upper and lower engraved lines on the oil dipstick.

Misunderstanding 3: The tighter the transmission belt, the better

The water pumps and generators of automobile engines are all driven by V-belts. If the transmission belt is adjusted too tightly, it is easy to be stretched and deformed. At the same time, the belt and the bearing are likely to be bent and damaged. The tightness of the transmission belt should generally be adjusted to a sinking amount of 3%~5% of the center distance of the pulleys at both ends.

Misunderstanding 4: The fan belt is important

If you blindly increase the tightness of the fan belt, the fan belt will be too tight, which will overload the bearing and aggravate the wear of related parts, and the power consumption of the engine will increase. At the same time, the belt will be stretched if the belt is too tight. Long deformation, the service life of the belt will be shortened accordingly.
