Causes and control of wrinkling of stamping parts

The wrinkles in the processing of stamping parts will cause the parts to be scrapped, which not only increases the manufacturing cost, but also causes the waste of raw materials, which needs to be analyzed and controlled.   Its causes are:    1. The blank holder force is not enough, and the blanking surface gap is not suitable, and the problem of 'loose inside and tight outside' appears.   2. Too much lubricating oil or brushing too frequently, or the brushing position is improper.   3. The trial blank is too soft, the material strength is low, and the blank size is too small to hold the material.  4. The positioning of the blank is unstable, which leads to the partial pressure of the material and the improper shape of the pressing surface, which leads to uneven feeding.   5. Improper stamping direction.  Measures to control wrinkles:   1. Check the wrinkle state. When the wrinkles are evenly generated around the part, it should be judged that the pressing force is insufficient. Gradually increase the pressing force to eliminate it. When drawing tapered parts and hemispherical parts, drawing ribs should be added to increase the tensile stress within the inner diameter of the plate to eliminate wrinkles. Adopt the principle of 'tight inside and loose outside' to eliminate the problem of 'tight inside and loose outside'.  2. For lubricating oil, the oil should be brushed in accordance with the requirements of the operating rules and regulations to ensure the correct amount and position of the oil to avoid wrinkling.  3. Replace the parts with too soft blanks without affecting the requirements of the whole vehicle to ensure the quality of the parts and avoid wrinkles.  4. Improve positioning, add pre-bending process if necessary, to ensure that the blanks will not run off when stamping the parts. Modify the shape of the pressing surface to ensure the quality of the parts and avoid the immobile shape of the pressing surface, resulting in uneven feeding.  5. For the improper stamping direction, simulation software should be used to analyze the part process at the early stage of design to ensure the stamping direction of the part. When the quality requirements of the part are high, it is necessary to re-develop the mold and adjust the stamping direction.
