Multi-station progressive die is a safe, high-precision, high-efficiency, and long-life die developed on the basis of ordinary progressive die. It is an important representative of technology-intensive die and one of the development directions of die. Can significantly reduce the production cost of small and medium stamping parts. Multiple stamping processes can be completed on a single press to realize fully automatic production from strip uncoiling, leveling, punching, to forming and finishing. Generally, dozens to hundreds of pieces can be produced per minute. With the efficiency and automation of automotive stamping production, the application of progressive dies for automotive stamping parts will become more widespread. Complicated shape stamping parts, especially some small and medium-sized complex stamping parts that require multiple sets of punching dies according to the traditional process, will be increasingly produced using multi-station progressive dies. Large foreign auto companies, such as Volkswagen, GM, Ford, Toyota, etc., use progressive dies for 30%-40% of automotive stamping parts. In the past, due to the limitation of the design and manufacturing capacity and level of multi-station progressive die, this type of die was mainly used in the production plants of some domestic joint venture brands, and most of the dies were also imported from abroad.   With the improvement of the domestic mold manufacturing level and significant cost-effective advantages, more and more domestic multi-station progressive dies have been applied. Judging from the current domestically manufactured multi-station progressive die, significant progress has been made in terms of die structure, manufacturing accuracy, service life, performance, technical content and manufacturing cycle. Most of the multi-station progressive molds are imported in terms of life and main performance, and some molds are exported to industrialized developed countries and regions.   1. Classification of multi-station progressive dies    (1) According to the structure of the mold, it can be divided into three-platen, multi-platen and mixed-type progressive dies. (3) High efficiency. The multi-station progressive die is suitable for high-speed presses. The slide strokes of the high-speed press are as high as hundreds of strokes per minute or even higher. Compared with the traditional single-machine single-process die stamping, the multi-station progressive stamping production efficiency is very high. .  (4) Good safety.  (5) Long life.  (6) Low cost.  With the development of the manufacturing industry, higher demands are put forward for the efficiency, precision, and safety of stamping production. Manual feeding for stamping has been gradually replaced by an automated feeding system, which is also a prerequisite for the realization of multi-station stamping. The multi-station progressive die is to complete the stamping production of more complex multi-process parts under automated conditions.
