In the process of punching, especially punching, we often encounter the phenomenon of punch breakage. When this kind of problem occurs, we often directly replace the punching needle with a new one, instead of fundamentally solving the problem of punching needle breakage. Below we analyze the common reasons and solutions for the breakage of the punching needle during the stamping process: 1) The waste generated will block the lower die. Solution: Re-modify the blanking hole, so that the waste can fall smoothly. 2) The fixed part (splint) and guiding part of the punching needle. Solution: repair or re-cut the block to make the punching needle go up and down smoothly (return plate). 3) The closing height of the stamping die is set too low, causing the punching needle to enter the lower part The part of the die is too long. Solution: Adjust the closing height of the punch to make the punching needle enter the lower die with a proper amount. 4) The unreasonable design of the material return plate causes uneven force on the punching needle. Solution: Redesign the gap between the stripping plate and the punching pin. 5) The design of the punching needle blade is too short, and the boiler will collide with the return plate when the boiler is working. Solution: re-select the appropriate punching needle, or increase the length of the knife edge. 6) Strains and scratches appear on the surface of the punching needle, and the punching needle is not evenly stressed when the material is returned. Solution: Replace the punching needle with a new one. 7) The cutting edge of the punch needle is worn out and the cutting edge becomes blunt. Solution: re-grind the knife edge of the punching needle. 8) The selected punching needle is too thin, too long or not strong enough. Solution: Need to re-select other types of punching needles. 9) The hardness of the punching needle is inappropriate, and the selected punching needle material is not suitable. Solution: Replace the appropriate punching needle material, or conduct heat treatment. 10) The design of the mold positioning device is unreasonable, which causes the punching needle to be punched to one side only, and the force of the punching needle is uneven. Solution: Adjust the mold positioning device so that the punching needle can cut the complete material when punching. 11) The punching needle is not firmly fixed, and it shakes during the punching process. Solution: Re-fix the punching needle so that it cannot move up and down.
