When the blanking die is placed in strips or workpieces, it should maintain a certain relative position with the cavity to ensure that the edges are correct or the punching and trimming positions are accurate. Therefore, there should be enough positioning devices in the mold. The main types of positioning devices are positioning pins (rods), positioning blocks and positioning plates. Regardless of the positioning device, consideration should be given to many factors such as reliable positioning, the required positioning accuracy, and the convenience of taking parts or strips.

Pin type positioning design skills

(1) Fixed stop pin

Using cylindrical pins or big-end pins as the positioning device for the side or feeding direction of the sheet, the fixed stopper pin is generally set on the die or the elastic discharge plate. When one of the stopper pins is installed, the other One piece must have an escape hole.

(2) Elastic retaining pin

When the avoiding hole affects the strength of the cutting edge on the die, an elastic stopper pin that does not need to avoid the avoiding hole can be used.

(3) Hook stopper pin

Elastic stop pin and fixed stop pin can solve the problem of the strength of the die caused by the hole of the stop pin, but the strip must be lifted before it can be fed. When a fixed unloading plate is used, a hook stopper pin can be used.
