1, vibration

When the bearing is under vibration, the force inside the bearing may cause fatigue cracks in the retainer. Gradually, this crack will rupture the retainer. To prevent this phenomenon, bearings equipped with special retainers can be used.

2, the speed exceeds the design requirements

If the bearing runs at a speed beyond the holding material's ability to withstand, the inertial force will cause the retainer to rupture. There are high-speed bearings specially manufactured for this occasion.

3, wear

Improper lubrication or hard foreign objects will wear the bearing retainer. When rolling bearings are running, sliding friction should be avoided. However, the sliding contact between the roller and the retainer is usually impossible to eliminate, so if the lubrication is poor, the retainer is the first wear part to bear the brunt. Moreover, the retainer is made of a softer material, so it wears out quite quickly. Gradually, the gap of the retainer will quickly rupture the retainer. The same happens when hard particles penetrate the bearing.

4, foreign body stuck

The parts are broken or particles may get stuck between the retainer and the roller. Prevent the scrolling from rolling. This can also cause the retainer to break. As long as it can prevent large foreign objects from invading the bearing, the retainer can be safe even under heavy loads.
