Factors Affecting the Angle Precision of Stamping in Wire EDM

The important part of the machining accuracy of the wire EDM is the accuracy of the corner, because the dimensional accuracy of the corner is neither easy to measure nor easy to trim. 1. Due to the over-cutting of the corners of the punch in rough machining, and the finishing can not be repaired, the corner fitting clearance is too large. 2. After entering the corner area, the machining allowance gradually decreases, and the electric field at the sharp corners is concentrated, which makes it difficult to dissipate heat, and it is easier to concentrate the discharge, causing defects. If the processing energy/quantity remains unchanged, it will cause over-cutting or sharp corners in the outer corners. The edges are not neat. Finishing is particularly serious. 3. When turning at sharp corners or small rounded corners, the discharge line speed must be only 1/2 of the line* speed, and there will be a little pause when turning sharp corners, because the actual discharge time is increased, resulting in a corner Overcut. This mainly occurs in constant speed machining. 4. At the corners, the flushing liquid flow is easy to produce turbulence, which will cause the vibration of the electrode wire and affect the formation of good sharp corners and small round corners. At present, the measures taken on the machine tool, there are two common schemes: 1. Change the programming trajectory of the electrode wire at the corner to avoid over-cutting of the external angle. 2. It does not change the programmed trajectory, but gradually changes the processing parameters to ensure the accuracy of the corners.
