Wheel bolts are also called tire bolts, which are used to fix the brake drum and the wheel hub and the wheel disc and the wheel hub. When in use, they are matched with nuts (including inner nuts, sleeve nuts, and outer nuts). Therefore, they are matched with Nuts are supplied in complete sets.
Wheel bolts generally have two types: stud bolts and bolts:
(1) Double-head bolt type hub bolt
The stud type hub bolt is a stud with a positioning flange in the middle and threads at both ends. When in use, its inner end is fixed on the hub, and the outer end is connected to the wheel disc with an outer nut; When the rear tires are installed in parallel, a set nut is needed to fix the inner wheel disc first, and then the outer wheel disc is sleeved on the sleeve nut and fixed with the outer nut wheel disc. (Guide: Analysis: Reasons for choosing triangular self-tapping screws for metal parts)
(2) Bolt type hub bolts
One end is the head, which is generally cut into a round shape for installation and positioning. The shaft below the head is rolled with straight knurling, and its length is adapted to the depth of the mounting bolt hole on the hub. This kind of bolt When installing, use a tap to fit into the threaded hole of the wheel hub, so the internal thread is omitted; the other end of the bolt has a threaded part for the external nut to fix the wheel disc. In the case of twin tires, a sleeve nut is also required.
The nuts used on the hub bolts, except that the inner nut is the same as the general nut. Both ends of the sleeve nut and the outer nut are made into a ball (cone) surface to match with the tapered screw hole on the wheel. The thread of the hub bolt and nut, except for a few that are common to the left and right wheels, most of them are separate, that is, the thread at one end of the hub is installed. The right wheel uses a right-hand thread (direct thread), and the left wheel uses a left-hand thread (reverse thread). , The thread (stud bolt type) at one end of its connection with the wheel hub has right-hand threads on the left and right wheels, which can prevent the nut from loosening when the vehicle is moving forward and ensure safety.
