Stainless steel screws are frequently used in daily life, but they are easy to rust over time. If they rust, how to loosen stainless steel screws. Use the following aspects to solve:
Shock: For rusty screws, do not use a wrench to tighten them, to prevent the six-sided edges and corners of the sliding screws, the screws will be broken or the wrench will be damaged. At this time, a hammer can be used to gently shake the handle of the wrench. Generally, rusty screws can be shaken off.
Knock: Use the edge of the square top hammer to knock the corroded stainless steel nut, it is easy to loosen the nut. For example, the nuts of the fixing bolts at both ends of the pedals of a bicycle can be used to grasp the force of striking the nuts according to the thickness of the pedals and the metal structure. The nut on the cast iron can be slightly stronger, and the nut on the plastic should be tapped lightly. If it still doesn't work, you can easily remove the nut by tapping the nut in a circular motion with a hammer.
Burning: Some screws are severely corroded, and the above methods still do not work, you can use fire attack. Use gas welding oxidizing flame to fully grill the screws and nuts, and then drip a trace of oil on the red screws. The purpose of heating the screw is to heat the screw to expand. The purpose of dripping oil is to make the screw shrink quickly when cold, increase the gap between the screw rod and the stainless steel nut, and the nut can be unscrewed after the oil flows in. But if there are plastic devices nearby, use this method with caution.
punch: The top of the stainless steel screw of some devices is corroded and out of shape, and cannot be unloaded with a wrench or wire pliers. The impact method can be used. First use a hammer and a flat screwdriver to hit a v-shaped groove in the vertical direction on the top of the screw. Then, adjust the angle of the punching cone and impact in the direction where the screw is screwed out. After loosening, you can use wire cutters to unscrew the screw. This method can also be used when the flat-shaped or Phillips screw is sliding, and the screw can be screwed out in combination with wire cutters.
Welding: It is not uncommon to unscrew the screws when disassembling the device. For the screws with broken tops, electric drills are generally not used, because the thread holes will be broken if you are not careful. The better way is to weld a long iron block on the broken wire by electric welding. The cross section of the iron block is confirmed by the diameter of the stainless steel screw.
