The general process of stamping and forming of automobile body panels is roughly divided into blanking, deep drawing, trimming, punching and flanging, etc. Of course, in order to maximize production cost savings, mold designers often combine some of these processes, such as trimming and punching, flanging and shaping, and other processes into one process. The following stamping is a general introduction to these processes: First, stamping blanking. Blanking is based on the raw material steel plate in order to obtain the external dimensions required for the drawing process. The technical content of this process is not high, and it only needs to be designed in size. However, if there is a problem with the size of this process, it will directly affect the normal production of the subsequent process. Second, deep drawing. Deep drawing is the most critical process in the stamping and forming of automotive body panels. Most of the appearance and performance of automotive body panels are determined by deep drawing. Basically, it can be said that the success or failure of this process directly determines the success or failure of this product. The key technical points of the entire automobile stamping die are in this process. Three, trimming. Because in the deep drawing process, we need to leave enough machining allowance for the material to make the deep drawing process go smoothly, and after the deep drawing process, we need trimming process to cut off the excess allowance. Four, flanging. After trimming, the edge size of the car body cover is processed through the flanging process, and the vertical edges are generally processed. Five, punching. The holes on the car cover are processed in the final process during the design, so as to avoid the deformation and distortion of the hole diameter and shape during the deep drawing process. Automobile body panels are among the stamping parts with high technical difficulty and strict requirements.
