How is the high-efficiency steel pipe punching die designed?

A customer who is making anti-theft windows came to our factory to make a set of punching molds for square and round tubes, and took this opportunity to share with you the method of punching the steel pipe. Under normal circumstances, there are three common processing techniques for punching pipes or round pipes: (1) Drilling with bench drills. Using a bench drill to drill holes in the steel pipe can ensure the accuracy of the hole size, but the production efficiency is very low and mass production cannot be carried out. (2) Punching with punching die without die. Punching with a punching die without a die, although the punching efficiency is higher, and the size of the hole on the pipe can also be guaranteed, but because the die does not have a die, the pipe will leave pits and collapse after punching. (3) Punching with a punching die with a concave die. Using a punching die with a concave die for punching, not only has high punching efficiency and accurate size, but also has no defects and beautiful appearance after punching. It is the most commonly used punching method now. Below we analyze in detail how the punching die with the concave die is processed: The picture below shows a complete set of steel pipe punching die. The main components are: outer die, concave die, punch (punch), positioning device, concave Mold fixing rod. The steel pipe punching die uses a floating die, which needs to be fixed on a fixed rod. The length of the fixed rod needs to be greater than the length of the steel pipe to be processed. When processing the steel pipe, the steel pipe die and the fixed rod are inserted into the steel pipe. The specific steps are as follows: 1. Use the bracket to support the die fixing rod parallel to the machine table, and then loosen the two fixing screws of the tail rod (it needs to be tightened after debugging). 2. Align the punch of the mold with the hole of the punch shank, and then tighten the mold clamp to fix the punch of the punch. 3. Pull the flywheel by hand to make the punch enter the die and move up and down to pass through the die easily and smoothly, and then tighten the fixing screw of the fixing rod. 4. After tightening all the screws, turn the punch flywheel by hand again to confirm whether the punch and the die fit smoothly. If the punch cannot be moved up and down smoothly, you need to adjust the height of the die fixing rod again. 5. The hole must be inserted into the tube to punch, not empty punching, otherwise the die movement will be broken. The positioning device uses the holes processed in the previous process for positioning, and the first punch needs to be positioned by the scale. The key point of the design of the steel pipe punching die is the design of the floating die. The other parts are not difficult, just like ordinary stamping dies.
