How to make the surface color of the products processed by cold heading be consistent

How to make the surface color of the products processed by cold heading be consistent

The cold heading process is a process of cold extrusion. Its working method is like multiple punches making the same product, but each of its punches is one of the processes. In the production process of stamping parts, we all found that as long as there is deformation, there will be new marks, such as edges, corners, and appearance.

First of all, let’s look at how this thing is produced. The process of stamping and cold heading has caused more or less damage to the surface of the material. We learned about the activities between molecules during the middle school. When these substances are put together, there will be a substance in Item A with Item B. Moreover, the raw materials of our cold heading products are also a cold drawing process. After the cold drawing process, a phosphating process is generally used to make the material more smooth. However, there will be an oxidation process during the storage of materials. It produces oxide scale, so after cold heading, new marks will appear in the areas of extrusion, such as the steps of T-nuts, the shrinking parts of rod screws, and the end faces of round nuts. How can we solve it? Some people say that electroplating is possible if the same material is used in this method, but we have already destroyed the material and oxidized the surface, so this cannot solve the problem; what about the grinder, if you see the engine pressure nut, there are many rules. You don’t think so when it comes to products. What should I do? There must be a way. We can carburize the cold-headed or stamped products, and then phosphate the surface. The purpose of carburizing is to make the entire product surface under the same substance, and the purpose of phosphating is to achieve uniform color.
