One Stop Solution Manufacturer for all kind of Stamping Products and CNC lathed products.
When I first came into contact with the precision metal stamping parts industry, I often heard the masters say some professional terminology. If you don’t understand, you will hear it in the rain. Today the author explains some commonly used terms in the stamping industry: 1. Blanking. Blanking should be a commonly used word, because no matter what specifications and models of metal stamping parts are, the first step in processing is blanking. Blanking generally uses a punch or shearing machine to separate the blanks of the required products on the entire page or steel belt for subsequent processing. 2. Punching. Punching is easier to understand, which refers to punching the required holes on the steel plate or product with a punching needle. 3. Flanging. Flanging has different effects for different products. There are many specific common examples. The edges of stainless steel basins used daily are flanging processing. 4. Stretching. Stretching is generally the processing of flat materials into hollow products with openings, such as water cups, shells, containers, and so on. Stretching is relatively common in stamping processing. For example, automobile doors and shells are also stamped and stretched parts. 5. Forming. Metal stamping parts need to be formed after blanking, punching and other processes to get the products we need. Among them, bending is a forming process. 6. Trimming. If the edges of the processed stamping parts are not smooth or neat, they need to be trimmed. The knowledge of the precision metal stamping parts industry contains too much content and requires us to continue to learn. Here are just some commonly used terms. Others also require us to learn a lot in our daily work. Need to know more, welcome to consult:
