Stamping die is the basis for processing stamping parts. If there is a problem with the stamping die, the entire subsequent production will also be affected. In the actual actual stamping process production, some common problems of stamping die mainly include the following aspects: 1. Concavity When the die or the punch breaks during the entire stamping process, the place that bears the greatest pressing force is the die and the punch of the entire die. Therefore, if the die and the punch are not properly designed, they are prone to breakage and breakage. The simplest example is the punching die. The break of the punch pin is one of the breaks of the punch. The main reasons for the fracture of the stamping die include: 1. Improper material selection. The choice of die material must be determined in conjunction with the material and size of all processed stamping parts. For example, stainless steel stamping parts must choose a better mold material. 2. Unqualified mold heat treatment After heat treatment, the hardness of molds that are too low or too high is not advisable, and the appropriate hardness range must be determined according to the use situation. 3. Unreasonable die gap design. The gap between the die and the punch must be within a reasonable range. The stamping parts processed by the gap is too large to have large burrs, and the gap is too small to cause the die or the punch to break. When the concave or convex mold breaks, you must carefully analyze the cause and solve the symptomatically. Sometimes, you can continue to use the mold after grinding, and in some cases it is necessary to reprocess the mold according to the drawings. Second, the mold is deformed. When the mold is deformed, the shape of the processed stamping part will also be deformed, so that the size of the product produced cannot meet the requirements. The deformation of the stamping die is mainly caused by improper material selection or improper heat treatment. The force of the die during the stamping process causes deformation. 3. Die wear The knife edge wear that we often say in the stamping industry is a manifestation of die wear. During the stamping process, the friction between the upper and lower dies and the materials is inevitably abraded. When the abrasion condition is severe, the processed stamping parts will produce larger burrs, resulting in unqualified products. However, the wear of the mold can generally be solved by grinding. 4. Knife-edge gnawing In the assembly process of the stamping die, if the die and the punch are not properly matched, or the gap design is unreasonable, it is very easy to cause the die-edge gnawing during stamping. If the gnawing injury is not serious, it can be solved by grinding. If the gnawing injury is serious, just remake it. Of course, the problems of stamping dies in daily stamping production are more than these, but as long as we strictly install the regulations and manuals in the normal processing and production, we can avoid the problems of stamping dies to the greatest extent.
