In the production of stamping parts, several basic methods of shearing

Shearing is a stamping process in which the sheet or coil of stamping parts is separated from each other along a straight line or a curve through a special shearing device. In the production of stamping parts, shearing is one of the preparatory processes; Other processes include punching, bending, deep drawing, forming and other processes; most of the raw materials for stamping parts are supplied in large sheets or coils, which requires that these stamping parts must be cut into suitable materials before stamping. The strips or blocks with the required size are convenient for the normal work of the next process; based on the difference between the production batch size and the geometry and size of the blank, the following different methods can be used for cutting. (1) Manual cutting Manual cutting is the cutting and separating operation of materials using hand shears or manual bench shears. This method is mainly suitable for single-piece production of small batches or small quantities of stamping parts. Manual cutting can only cut sheets with a thickness of less than 0.8mm; its advantage is that it is simple and can be adapted to different sizes and curve requirements. The disadvantage is that the labor intensity is too high and the production efficiency is extremely low. (2) Machine tool shearing The use of special machine tools to shear sheet and coil materials is currently the more commonly used method. The main shearing machines are plate cutting machine (straight knife shearing machine) and disc hob shearing machine (commonly known as slitting machine). Using these special machine tools to cut sheet materials can greatly save labor, high production efficiency, and quality assurance. (3) Hand-held vibration shears Hand-held vibration shears are small electric tools with flexible operation. It is mainly used for coiling and segmenting, and the obtained cutting line can be straight or curved. This method of material preparation is suitable for material cutting. The sleeve cutting of the drawn blank of the cylindrical part can increase the material utilization rate by about 5%, which is very economical for precious materials.
