Introduction of rupture disc

What is a rupture disc? Bursting discs, also called bursting membranes, are non-closable pressure relief devices that open under a predetermined pressure. It is also the weakest point on the equipment. In toxic containers where safety valves should not be installed, a protective device that relies on the rupture of the diaphragm to achieve the purpose of pressure relief. Bursting discs are divided into normal arched rupture discs, reverse arched rupture discs, flat rupture discs, and graphite rupture discs. The sealing performance of the rupture disc is better than that of the safety valve, and the response speed is faster (within 0.02 seconds), so it is more suitable to use the rupture disc in some environments. However, rupture discs cannot be reused after blasting, and some waste materials. Usually bursting discs or bursting disc components and components such as holders constitute a safety device to release pressure. This safety device is called a bursting disc device. When the pressure difference between the two sides of the rupture disc reaches a predetermined value, the rupture disc will fall off or rupture immediately, releasing the pressure. Bursting disc assembly is a combination of two or more parts such as a bursting disc, a reinforcing ring, a protective film, and a back pressure bracket. Bursting disc materials are aluminum, iron, nickel, stainless steel, plastic film, graphite, etc. Bursting disc elements are susceptible to corrosion, and a film or coating is added to the rupture disc.
