Methods of extending the life cycle of imported bearings and common causes of abnormalities

Analysis of the five major causes of several common abnormalities in imported bearings:

   One, big metal noise

   Reason 1: Abnormal load, countermeasures: modify the fit, study the bearing clearance, adjust and load, and modify the position of the housing shoulder.

   Reason 2: Poor installation, countermeasures: machining accuracy of shaft and housing, improve installation accuracy and installation method.

   Reason 3: Lubricant is insufficient or unsuitable. Countermeasure: Replenish lubricant and select appropriate lubricant.

   Reason 4: The rotating parts are in contact, countermeasures: modify the contact part of the curved seal.

   2. Regular noise

   Reason 1: Indentation, corrosion or scars on the rolling surface caused by foreign matter. Countermeasures: Replace the bearing, clean the relevant parts, improve the sealing device, and use a clean lubricant.

   Reason 2: (after steel carburization) surface deformation, countermeasure: replace the bearing, pay attention to its use.

   Reason 3: The raceway surface is peeled off, countermeasure: Replace the bearing.

   3. Irregular noise

   Reason 1: Excessive clearance, countermeasures: study the fit and bearing clearance, and modify the preload.

   Reason 2: Foreign matter intrusion, countermeasures: study the replacement of bearings, clean the relevant parts, improve the sealing device, and use clean lubricants.

   Reason 3: Spherical surface injury, peeling, countermeasure: Replace the bearing.

   Fourth, abnormal temperature rise

   Reason 1: Too much lubricant, countermeasure: reduce lubricant, use appropriate amount, choose harder grease.

   Reason 2: Lubricant is insufficient or unsuitable. Countermeasure: Replenish lubricant and select appropriate lubricant.

   Reason 3: Abnormal load, countermeasures: modify the fit, study the bearing clearance, adjust the preload, and modify the position of the housing shoulder.

   Reason 4: Poor installation, countermeasures: improve the machining accuracy, installation accuracy and installation method of the shaft and housing.

   Reason 5: Creep of the mating surface, excessive friction of the sealing device, countermeasures: replace the bearing, study the fit, modify the shaft and housing, and change the sealing form.

   5. Too much lubricant leakage and discoloration

   Reasons: too much lubricant, foreign matter intrusion, foreign matter generated by abrasion powder, etc. Countermeasures: use the appropriate amount of lubricant, study the replacement of lubricants, study the replacement of bearings, and clean the housing.

   Ways to extend the life cycle of imported bearings:

   1. Whether the imported bearings are installed correctly will affect the accuracy, life and performance.

   Therefore, the design and assembly department must fully study the bearing installation. Hope to install in accordance with operating standards. The operating standard items are usually as follows:

   (1) Clean the bearing and its related parts;

   (2) Check the size and finishing of related parts;

  (3)Installation;

   (4) Inspection after the bearing is installed;

   (5) Supply lubricant.

  2, alignment, alignment

   After the bearing is installed, if the alignment is not carried out carefully, the alignment may cause the bearing to suffer additional load, friction and vibration. These may accelerate fatigue and reduce the service life of the bearing, and may damage the service life of other machine parts. In addition, increased vibration and friction can greatly increase energy consumption and the risk of premature failure.

  3. Basic condition monitoring

   During use, the basic external conditions of bearing operation should be monitored frequently, such as temperature, vibration and noise measurement, etc. These regular inspections will detect potential problems early and prevent unexpected machine suspensions, so that the production plan can be realized, and the productivity and efficiency of the factory will be improved.

   4. Lubricate again

   In the process of operation, imported bearings require correct relubrication to perfect their performance. The method of bearing lubrication is divided into grease lubrication and oil lubrication. In order to make the bearing function well, first of all, we must choose a lubrication method suitable for the use conditions and purpose. If only lubrication is considered, the lubricity of oil lubrication is dominant. But grease lubrication has the advantage of simplifying the structure around the bearing.

   5. Remove

   When the imported bearing will reach its end of life, it should be replaced. Although the bearing can no longer be used, the correct removal of the original bearing and timely replacement of the new bearing can greatly promote the extension of the service life of the new bearing. First of all, the use of tools for proper unloading methods will help prevent damage to other machine components. Secondly, incorrect unloading techniques may cause harm to the operator.
