my country proposes to establish an international standard for electric control valve safety

It was learned from the National Standards Committee that on April 12, my country's proposal for an international standard for safety requirements for electric control valves was approved by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and was officially approved.

　　 It is understood that in recent years, safety accidents caused by the failure of automation products have occurred frequently, causing people to pay great attention to the safety of automation products. However, there is still a lack of safety standards for automation products in the world. As early as 2007, my country initiated the formulation of 18 mandatory national standards for 'Safety Requirements for Industrial Automation Products'. This series of standards was jointly formulated by the National Industrial Process Measurement and Control Standardization Technical Committee, which organized more than 60 domestic automation companies to jointly formulate. In October 2008, the IEC established a joint working group to start the formulation of international standards for industrial automation product safety, and at the first meeting of the working group, it was determined that the draft of the national industrial automation product safety standards that China is developing as a blueprint to develop a series of international standards. After 5 years of hard work, the first international standard control equipment safety requirements formulated on the basis of my country's draft national standard was officially released in February 2013.
