Precautions for fastener plating
1.The thickness of the electroplating layer: According to the requirements of the standard, ensure that the plating layer of the product meets the requirements.
2. Dimension requirements before and after plating:
Except as otherwise required by the customer, the external thread and internal thread before plating are inspected with tolerance bands of g and G respectively; the tolerance band for general rules after electroplating is h and H for inspection of external and internal threads. 3. Hydrogen embrittlement treatment of the product: When the hardness is greater than HV320, the product should be tested for hydrogen embrittlement. If hydrogen embrittlement is found, it needs to be removed.
Hydrogen embrittlement treatment. When the hardness exceeds 365HV, hydrogen embrittlement treatment is required.
4. Electro-galvanizing will reduce the strength by 15%, and mechanical galvanizing and hot-dip galvanizing will reduce the strength by 25%.
