Principles to be followed in the layout design of multi-station precision progressive die

Layout design should follow the principles of multi-station progressive die layout, in addition to complying with the layout principles of ordinary die, the following points should also be considered:   1) It is possible to make unfolding blank templates of stamping parts (3~5), Repeated trials on the drawing. After the preliminary plan is determined, separate stations such as punching, cutting, and scrap cutting are arranged at the beginning of the layout drawing, and then the forming stations are arranged to the other end in turn, and finally the parts and carriers are arranged Separate. When arranging the working position, try to avoid punching a small half hole to prevent the punch from breaking due to uneven force.   2) The first station generally arranges punching and punching process pilot holes. The second station is equipped with a guide pin to guide the strip material. In the future stations, the guide pin is set according to the number of stations and the stations that are prone to movement. It can also be set every 2 in the future stations. ~3 stations are equipped with guide pins. According to the positioning accuracy of the stamping strip, the third station can be equipped with a feeding step error detection device.  3) When the number of holes on the stamping parts is large, and the positions of the holes are too close, the holes can be punched out in different stations, but the holes cannot be deformed due to the influence of the subsequent forming process. For porous holes with higher requirements for relative position accuracy, synchronous punching should be considered. When the punch cannot be synchronized due to the limitation of the mold strength, the follow-up punching should take measures to ensure the relative position accuracy of the holes. Complicated holes can be broken down into a number of simple holes to be punched out step by step. 4) In order to improve the strength of the die insert, the discharge plate and the fixed plate and ensure that the installation positions of the formed parts do not interfere, empty stations can be set in the layout, and the number of empty stations is determined according to the requirements of the mold structure .  5) The choice of forming direction (up or down) should be conducive to the design and manufacture of the mold, and is conducive to the smooth feeding of materials. If there is a punch forming action that is different from the stroke direction of the punch slider, the oblique slider, lever and pendulum block can be used to change the forming direction.
