Share several cleaning agents for fasteners

The performance of fasteners is inseparable from cleaning agents. Only by cleaning and maintaining fasteners frequently can we better play the role of fasteners. So what kinds of cleaning agents are there?

1. Soluble emulsifying cleaning agent

Soluble emulsifiers usually consist of emulsifiers, soil, solvents, builders, corrosion inhibitors and a small amount of water. The function of water is to dissolve the emulsifier. The cleaning agent dissolves the dirt on the surface of the fastener while also leaving a layer of anti-rust film on the surface of the fastener. Emulsified cleaning agent is a concentrated pure oil product, which becomes a white milky liquid after being diluted in water. Among them, the emulsifier and detergent can hold the grease particles and dissolve them into the cleaning agent containing solvent and oil.

2. Alkaline cleaning agent

Alkaline cleaning agent is a mixture of builders and alkaline earth metal salts of surfactants. It is one of the most widely used cleaning agents. The pH value of the cleaning agent is required to be around 7. The cleaning ingredients of this type of cleaning agent are hydroxides, silicates, carbonates, phosphates, borates, and organic chelates. Each of the above salts and surfactants is mainly to ensure the cleaning effect, followed by economy.

Decontamination cleaning agents mainly contain solvents, surfactants and water. Different from emulsified cleaning agent, it is a pure solution, not an emulsion. It is mainly used for maintenance cleaning of the outer packaging of equipment and fasteners.

4. Synthetic cleaning agent

Synthetic cleaning agent is also an alkaline cleaning agent, which is different from standard alkaline cleaning agent in chemical composition. Standard alkaline cleaning agent is essentially inorganic, while synthetic agent is an organic agent containing amine-based substances. Standard alkaline cleaners are used to remove alkaline residues in single-stage cleaning, and they are also good rust inhibitors. Synthetic cleaning agents are used for moderately difficult cleaning, such as quenching oil or quenching polymer solution for cleaning the surface of fasteners.

5. Acid cleaning agent

Usually there are organic acids such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and citric acid and acetic acid. For the dephosphorization of high-strength fasteners before heat treatment, the first three cleaning processes are mainly used at present, but hydrogen corrosion should be prevented. The acidic agent should contain basic acid and corrosion inhibitor to prevent corrosion of the surface of metal fasteners, as well as surfactants to improve the removal ability. But for cleaning the general dirt on metal fasteners, acidic cleaning agents are generally not used, and alkaline cleaning agents are usually used. Acid cleaning is very effective for special attachments such as oxide scale. The most famous process is acid leaching. In addition to rolling, welding and heat treatment of oxide scale, surface oxides, rust and corrosion products that affect the quality of electroplating or oil seals, and water-stained deposits can all be removed with acid.
