Progressive die, also known as: multi-station progressive die, continuous die, skipping die, it is a set of molds, according to the processed stamping parts as a number of equidistant stations, set in each station One or more basic stamping processes to complete the processing of a certain part of the stamped part. The material to be processed is processed into strips of a certain width in advance, and a certain feeding method is adopted, each time being fed one step. After punching each station one by one, a complete stamping part is obtained. In a pair of progressive die, no matter how complicated the shape of the stamping part is, and how many stamping processes, it can be completed by a pair of progressive die. At present, the use range of progressive die is quite wide, it can process a variety of materials, such as stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel, copper and other metal materials. The materials used for the progressive die are all long strips, which are thicker and can be cut into strips when the production batch is small; coils should be selected when the production batch is large. Coil materials can be automatically fed and collected, and high-speed punches can be used for automatic stamping. The progressive die has strict requirements on the thickness and width of the material. If the width is too large, the strips cannot enter the guide plate of the mold or the passage is not smooth; if the width is too small, the positioning accuracy will be affected, and the side edges, punches and other parts will be easily damaged. Progressive dies have many advantages in blanking: 1. High production efficiency: multiple processes such as blanking, bending, stretching and forming can be completed at the same time in different stations of the same mold, which has more advantages than other types of punching dies.
