Stamping process: how to deal with mold damage and stuck molds?

Stamping is one of the useful processes for forming large quantities of parts. Die failure is the simplest problem in stamping production, which often results in production stoppage and affects the product production cycle. Therefore, it is necessary to find the cause of the mold defect as soon as possible and repair it reasonably. 1. Mold damage Mold damage refers to mold cracking, breaking, swelling, etc. To deal with mold damage, it is necessary to find the reason from the mold planning, production process and mold application. Assuming that the conditions that cause foreign matter to enter the mold, stacking of parts, and waste obstruction are not dealt with in time, and subsequent processing is produced, it is easy to damage the blanking plate, punch, lower template and guide post of the mold. The spring force plan is too small or the contour sleeves are not equal in height, which will cause the spring to crack and the blanking plate to be skewed. It will form a stack of punches and damage the parts. Assuming that the quenching temperature of the mold is too high, the quenching method and time are unfair, and the number of tempering and temperature, and the improper selection of the elbow will cause the mold to be damaged after the stamping. Improper fixing of the punch or weak screw strength will cause the punch to fall or break. The working height of organic waste gas treatment is adjusted too low and the guide post is not smooth enough. Generally, the heat treatment process of the mold material has a great influence on it. Failure to plan the size or depth of the blanking hole will easily block the slot and cause damage to the blanking board. When the mold is used, the position and direction of the parts are wrong or the bolts are not fastened well. 2. The primary reasons for the jamming caused by the jamming are: the mold orientation is incorrect and skewed. Otherwise, the defects will be extended and the mold will be damaged. Mold deformation is formed. For example, if the hardness and thickness of the mold base and template are too small, they are easily deformed by external force; the orientation of the mold is inaccurate, and the positioning error of the upper and lower molds is too bad. At this time, the strength of the punch should be advanced to enhance the guided maintenance of the discharge plate. or the accuracy of the press is too poor, causing the mold to dry out; the strength of the punch is not good, the size of the punch is too close, and the lateral force of the mold is unbalanced. In the stamping process, once the mold clamping is not sensitive, or even stuck, it is necessary to stop production immediately to find out the cause of the stuck mold and eliminate the problem. 3. Die damage and repair The cost of stamping die is high. The general die cost accounts for 1/5 to 1/4 of the total cost of the parts. The one-time correction cost exceeds 70% of the original cost of the die, or the die life is approaching. When the mold repair skills are too complicated and the mold repair cost is too large, the difficulty will inevitably make the repair cycle too long, which will severely affect the normal production of stamping. Early failure should be selected and the mold should be made from scratch. Generally speaking. After the mold is damaged, there is a selection problem of repair and invalidation. but. Therefore, timely repair of molds to avoid mold damage can greatly reduce the cost of stamping molds. When the tie parts of the mold are severely damaged, sometimes the male and female molds are damaged together. This is because, in addition to the difficult mold making and high cost. The non-natural wear failure of the stamping die, such as the damage of non-tie parts. Under normal conditions, the primary failure mode of stamping die is excessive wear. Re-production and delivery of molds. Until the burr of the punched parts is overrun, the size and shape of the parts are refined.
