The advantages of SKH-9 die steel as a stainless steel cold stamping die material

SKH-9 die steel replaces the traditional Cr12 and Cr12MoV as the cold stamping die material of stainless steel cold-rolled steel, and the stamping test is carried out after coating the die, and the following conclusions are drawn: 1) Change the traditional Ti base layer of PVD coating Technology, using the new Cr primer technology, significantly reduces the stress between the coatings, and improves the hardness of the coating and the fatigue resistance of the coating during use, and the bonding force between the coating and the mold substrate is also greatly improved. 2) SKH-9 replaces traditional Cr12 and Cr12MoV as mold materials, and can combine excellent material properties with coating technology to give full play to the potential of the material. 3) Practical production applications show that, compared with Cr12 and Cr12MoV, SKH-9 punch die has a greater number of punching. Combining the SKH-9 die with Cr/TiN coating, the punching life of the punch can be increased by more than 2 times.
