As a large manufacturing country on a global scale, our country is in the forefront of production scale in many industries, but it is only large in scale, not high in technology content, and the industry has always been in an embarrassing position of being large but not strong and not being able to keep up.

Since the development of my country's bearing industry cannot keep up, it strongly spurs the import of bearings. For example, in the large-scale development of high-speed railways, all the bearings for EMUs with a speed of more than 200 kilometers per hour are imported. At present, the domestic can meet the requirements of only 160 kilometers of locomotive bearings.

  The domestic bearing casting industry shoulders the important mission of the localization of my country's high-end equipment. Under the guidance of the 12th Five-Year Plan, my country's bearing casting industry has formulated an industry development plan. It has formulated the policy of stimulating the development of the domestic mold industry with two carriages of projects and exports.

   It is reported that, driven by the development of various fields such as rail transit, medical equipment, new energy, aerospace, automobile lightweight, and rail transit, the level of my country's bearing casting industry has been significantly improved. The bearing foundry industry is actively exploring emerging markets while steadily advancing in the traditional markets, and even marginal markets that have been neglected in the past have also been developed.

   According to relevant plans, during the 12th Five-Year Plan period, high-speed rail will usher in the construction peak. In 2011, the national railway planned infrastructure investment of 700 billion yuan, which provides huge market opportunities for the entire high-speed rail equipment manufacturing enterprise. According to the 'Medium and Long-term Railway Network Plan (Adjusted in 2008)Luo Baihui, chief analyst of Jinmoji Power Grid, predicts that my country's high-speed rail bearing market will exceed 2 billion yuan in the next three years. The investigation found that in the field of high-speed train bearings, which are basic parts of high-speed rail, international giants such as Sweden's SKF, Germany's FAG, and Japan's NTN firmly occupy the Chinese market.

   Although a small number of domestic companies can manufacture EMU bearings with a speed of 200 kilometers per hour, the relevant procurement departments will still use imported components. The prospects of my country's high-end bearing field are worrying.
