The difference between single die, continuous die and compound die

Stamping dies can be divided into single die, continuous die and composite die according to the die structure. So what is the difference between these three? Single punching die: Generally, it is composed of one die and one punch or multiple die and multiple punches, but only one punching process can be completed at a time when punching. Simple blanking dies can be divided into non-oriented single-process dies, guide plate simple blanking dies, and guide pillar simple blanking dies according to their guiding methods. Continuous die: refers to the cold stamping die in which the press uses strip-shaped stamping raw materials in one stamping stroke, and uses several different stations to complete multiple stamping processes on a pair of molds. Each time the stamping is completed, the material The belt moves once at a fixed distance to the end of the product. The continuous die is based on a certain sequence. In one stroke of the punching machine, more than two stamping processes are completed in different directions of the workpiece. During the stamping process of the continuous die, the material strip always moves in one direction. After the material inside the mold is cut, it moves in two or more directions. The continuous die is called the automatic continuous die when the feed of the material is completed inside the mold. Used for stamping dies with different processes in the stamping production chain. Compound mold: a punching mold that simultaneously completes the upper process of the inner hole and the outer shape on the same station of the punching mold. According to the structure, the composite stamping die can be divided into: the front-mounted composite die and the inverted composite die. The characteristics are: the production efficiency is doubled; the quality of the stamping parts is improved; the precision of the mold manufacturing is higher. Summary: Single die structure is simple, single die cost is low, processing cycle is short, adjustment is convenient, it is used for products with complex product structure and small production output; continuous die structure is complex, production efficiency is high, and cost is relatively high, which is suitable for Products with a large output; the composite mold has a compact structure, and the product has high precision at one time. It is suitable for products with a relatively simple product structure but high precision requirements.
