The history and overview of continuous mode

Although the stamping process has a history of more than two hundred years, the continuous die has only been adopted in the last 30 years. The so-called single-station die is a die that can only serve as one stamping job in one stamping process, and the so-called mathematical calculation method is to use each workstation as a benchmark, apply geometry and triangle method to combine the size of each single-station touched part, and determine The corresponding position between its parts. For example, after being processed by the first workstation and transferred to the second workstation, the distance between each processing must be equal to accurately control the feeding length. The continuous die is designed based on automation. Two or more single-station dies are arranged in the workstation by mathematical calculations to form a whole die. In other words, a continuous die refers to a die that can complete two or more work stations in one punching stroke on a punching machine. The so-called automatic design is the arrangement of the processing sequence of each single station, so that the strip can pass through the die smoothly and correctly, and consider the design of processing troubleshooting and die safety facilities. The materials used in continuous molds are generally coiled strips, and during the processing of the material, the excess parts on the strips are cut off one by one as they advance station by station to pass through the die. At the same time, in order to facilitate the processing of semi-finished products. For the purpose of transferring the strips, one or more narrow ribbons or semi-finished products are left to connect the products in each process to one another, so that the entire strip is sent to each workstation in the mold in turn. In addition, in some processing occasions, if the product is large, if the continuous mold is used, the mold cost is too high and the punch energy is insufficient, so a separate blank is also used for manufacturing, that is, the blank is used in the first process. After the tape is cut, it is not connected to the tape at all, nor does it become a part of the tape. Instead, it uses the so-called mechanical hand (mechanical

hand), mechanical finger (mechanical finger) or other auxiliary devices to assist the work piece to move forward to a certain position station by station, it is called transfer feeding (transfer feeding)

die), this type of mold is generally called a transfer die.
