The production method of hardware shrapnel

The production of metal shrapnel is a special process in which materials (metal or non-metal) are processed into parts (or semi-finished products) through cold stamping of stamping dies. Stamping is a pressure processing method that uses a mold installed on a press to apply pressure to the material at room temperature to cause separation or plastic deformation to obtain the required parts. The manufacturing methods of hardware shrapnel include cold rolling method and hot rolling method. The metal shrapnel wire whose diameter is less than 8 mm generally uses the cold-rolling method, and the hot-rolling method is used for those larger than 8 mm. Some metal shrapnels need to be subjected to strong pressure or shot peening after they are made, which can improve the load-bearing capacity of the metal shrapnels. Hardware shrapnel is a kind of elastic element widely used in machinery and electronic industries. The hardware shrapnel can produce large elastic deformation when loaded, and convert mechanical work or kinetic energy into deformation energy.
