However, due to the large number of manufacturers of small water pumps, the technical strength is uneven, resulting in a huge gap in product quality. Therefore, how to choose a durable and satisfactory water pump and how to extend the life of the water pump has become a problem that the majority of users are very concerned about.

1. Choose a standardized water pump

2. How to choose a water pump

When the user chooses a pump, it is best to go to a sales point approved by the agricultural machinery department, and be sure to identify the manufacturer. It is recommended to give priority to the purchase of water-filled submersible electric pumps, and to see the brand and product quality certificate. Do not buy products with three nos (that is, no manufacturer, no production date, no production license), otherwise there will be problems and users will be helpless.

The so-called head refers to the required head, not the lifting height. It is particularly important to know this point when choosing a water pump. The pump lift is approximately 1.15 to 1.20 times the lifting height. For example, the vertical height from a water source to the place where the water is used is 20 meters, and the required lift is about 23 to 24 meters. When selecting the water pump, the head on the nameplate of the water pump should be close to the required head. In this case, the efficiency of the water pump is the highest and the use will be more economical. But it is not necessarily required to be absolutely equal. Generally, as long as the deviation does not exceed 20%, the pump can work in a more energy-saving situation.

2. What is the lift of the nameplate?

Choosing a pump whose head on the nameplate is much smaller than the required head will often fail to satisfy the user's wishes. Even if it can pump water, the amount of water will be pitifully small, and it will even become a useless idle. Pump. Is the higher the pump lift the better? In fact, it is not. If the pump with high head is used for low head, the flow will be too large, causing the motor to be overloaded. If the motor is operated for a long time, the temperature of the motor will rise, the winding insulation layer will gradually age, and even the motor will be burned.

Three, choose a suitable flow pump

The flow rate of the pump, that is, the water output, generally should not be too large, otherwise, the cost of purchasing the pump will increase. Specific problems should be analyzed in detail. For example, the self-priming water pump used by the user's own draft should be selected as small as possible; such as the user's submersible pump for irrigation, the flow rate should be selected appropriately.

Four, several issues that should be paid attention to in use

Accurately mastering the method of use is an important factor in prolonging the life of the pump and reducing economic losses.

1. For submersible pumps

Before starting, do some necessary inspections: whether the rotation of the pump shaft is normal and whether there is any jamming; whether the position of the impeller is normal; whether the cables and cable plugs are broken, scratched, or broken. Pay attention to the change of the voltage during operation, and it is generally controlled within ±5% of the rated voltage. In addition, the position of the pump in the water is very important. Choose a place with plenty of water, no silt, and good water quality as much as possible. The pump should be suspended vertically in the water. As a result, the water output dropped sharply or even failed to be pumped.

2. For self-priming pumps

It should be placed as far as possible to run in a well-ventilated place to facilitate rapid heat dissipation and reduce the temperature of the motor. Otherwise, it will burn the motor easily if it runs for a long time. For example, when a farmer is using a self-priming pump, because the plastic film covering the motor is not removed, the motor is overheated and the coil is burned out. In addition, before starting, be sure to check the amount of water in the pump body, otherwise it will not only affect the self-priming performance, but also easily burn the shaft seal parts. Under normal circumstances, the water pump should be discharged 3 to 5 minutes after it is started, otherwise, it should be shut down immediately for inspection.

3, water pump maintenance

Once the water pump fails, never disassemble it yourself. Because when disassembling by oneself, one is blindly dismantling one without knowing where the fault is; second, the original intact parts are often damaged without special tools. The best way is to go to an experienced and large-scale repair point for repairs, and replace the over-aged parts and certain wearing parts in time. Under normal circumstances, the water pump should be repaired once every six months to prevent sick work.

4, non-use period storage

During the non-use period, the pump should be lifted away from the water source in time, and the water in the pump should be drained, especially in cold winter. Then put it in a dry place. If possible, users can also apply butter on the key parts of the pump and add lubricating oil to the bearings to prevent the parts from rusting. In addition, the non-use period of the pump is not as long as possible. If it is not used for a long time, it will not only easily rust the parts, but also reduce the service life of the pump.
