The United States will initiate an anti-dumping investigation on Chinese steel wire products

The US Department of Commerce recently announced that it will initiate an anti-dumping investigation against Chinese steel wire products exported to the United States. This is the second time the United States has initiated trade remedies against Chinese products in the past two weeks. The US Department of Commerce issued an announcement on the same day that the specific product under investigation was prestressed concrete sleeper steel wire with a carbon content higher than 0.6%. The current identified dumping margin is 67.43%.

　　 This is the United States once again initiated trade remedies against Chinese products within half a month. On April 30, the U.S. Department of Commerce imposed an anti-dumping duty of up to 63.96% on hardwood plywood exported from China to the U.S., and required all Chinese companies involved in the case to pay cash deposits to U.S. Customs. In addition, in February this year, the US Department of Commerce made an affirmative final ruling and decided to impose countervailing duties ranging from 4.80% to 12.26% and anti-dumping duties ranging from 27.14% to 76.53% on stainless steel drawn water tanks exported to the United States from China.
