As an important carrier in the cold stamping production process, stamping molds have very unique characteristics. It is precisely because of its own characteristics that we need to consider a scientific and reasonable perspective when designing stamping dies. Good mold design can improve mold life, durability, production efficiency, reduce production costs and ensure product quality. So what should be paid attention to when designing the mold? 1. In the mold design, the selection of mold materials and heat treatment and surface treatment, especially metal deep drawing parts. 2. The material belt design is an analysis of the molding process of the product, which basically determines the success of the mold. Before designing the material belt, you must understand the tolerance requirements of the parts, material properties, punch tonnage, punch table, SPM (strokes per minute), feeding direction, feeding height, mold thickness requirements, material utilization, and mold life. When designing the material belt, CAE analysis should be carried out at the same time, mainly considering the thinning rate of the material, and more communication with the customer. 3. When trying a mold, be sure to close the upper mold slowly. When there is a stretching process, be sure to use the fuse to test the thickness of the material level, and try the mold after the material level gap reaches the material thickness. The knife edge must be aligned first. Please use movable inserts to adjust the height of the drawbead. The datum hole and datum plane must be equipped with the mold before placing the product on the gage for measurement, or sending it to the CMM for 3D report. 4. The red pill must be equipped well, otherwise the product will be unstable and the later model modification cannot be judged, and the part size will not meet the customer's requirements. 5. For parts with more bending, the bending should be adjusted step by step according to the process when adjusting the mold. 6. When adjusting the forming angle, you can reduce the R angle during bending or move the folding line datum to achieve the purpose of forming angle. 7. When adjusting the mold, most of the gaskets are used to adjust the height of the forming male, or the forming male parts can be moved left and right. The gaskets generally use stainless steel hard plates. 8. For the trimming lines that are affected by forming, choose to cut after forming, and special positions can be realized by cross-cutting. 9. For multiple reference hole positions, the method of one-time punching is used to avoid the impact of precision after step-by-step punching. 10. For product rupture, it can be carried out in various ways, such as adding packages, extruding materials, increasing the forming area of u200bu200bthe sheet rod, and opening holes during the pre-stretching. CAE analysis should be carried out before mold modification.
