General cleaning method
Soak the bearing in kerosene for 510 minutes, pinch the inner ring with one hand and turn the outer ring with the other. The dry oil or anti-rust paste on the bearing will fall off. Then put the bearing in relatively clean kerosene, scrub with a soft brush, wash the balls and the oil in the gap, and then put it in gasoline for cleaning once, take it out and put it on a clean paper. When cleaning radial spherical ball bearings and short cylindrical roller bearings, the balls, the ball frame, the inner ring and the outer ring should be separated for cleaning.
The cleaning of the bearing mounted on the shaft mainly depends on the method of spraying oil or spraying with an oil gun. The oil that is easy to be cleaned should be kerosene first and then gasoline; the oil that is difficult to clean should be sprayed with hot engine oil at 100200℃. Wash or spray with oil gun, and then clean with gasoline. Be careful not to scratch the bearing with sharp tools: hard grease or rust, so as not to damage the smoothness of the bearing rolling elements and groove ring parts, wipe the cleaned bearing with a clean cloth.
Hot oil cleaning method
Due to the long-term use, the bearing hardened by soft dry oil or anti-rust paste should be immersed in hot engine oil at 100200℃, clamp the bearing with pliers, and clean the grease on the bearing with a brush. The soft dry oil or anti-rust paste will melt when heated to 100200℃, and it will be easily washed out from the gap of the bearing. Sometimes it is only necessary to shake the bearing several times in the oil. The oil will also flow away from the crevices.
When cleaning the centripetal spherical bearing of an old motor or an imported motor, the ball, ball frame, and inner ring should be rotated laterally from the outer ring and then immersed in hot oil. The short cylindrical roller bearing should also be cleaned. Disconnect the rollers, bead holder, inner ring and outer ring.
When cleaning with hot oil, the temperature of the oil should not exceed 20°C.
