At present, the main raw materials for manufacturing shields in the market are stainless steel, cupronickel, brass, tinplate, etc. as the mainstream. Stainless steel: good shielding effect, high strength, moderate price; but it is difficult to apply tin (tin can hardly be applied without surface treatment, it can be improved after nickel plating, but it is still not conducive to patch). Copper-nickel alloy: The shielding effect is slightly worse, softer, and easily deformed. The price is generally about 30% more expensive than stainless steel. It is easy to be tinned. At present, the lower shields of TC3000 and TC3600 are made of copper-nickel alloy. Brass: The shielding effect is slightly poor, and the tin condition is to be investigated. Tinplate: The shielding effect is slightly worse, but the tinplate is good and the price is cheap. At present, the most commonly used material is nickel silver, but the surface will turn yellow after reflow soldering. A high-temperature resistant nickel silver (280 degrees Celsius) is used later. There is no problem with reflow soldering, but it will also turn yellow when reworked. On this basis, we chose high-temperature nickel-plated nickel-plated copper, but found that the solder joints were still disconnected after the drop test. Finally, we choose tinplate, but the fracture is easy to oxidize, rust, and copper-nickel alloy. Those who are familiar with electronic products know that shielding covers have been widely used in various high-tech products, such as mobile phones, GPS positioning and navigation, and so on. Its installation is mainly to prevent the interference of electromagnetic waves to ensure the normal operation of the equipment. On the other hand, its appearance also greatly reduces the damage to the human body caused by the radiation emitted by the equipment, and the appearance of the shield greatly protects the health of the human body. So, what are the main materials of the shield? Normally, it will use stainless steel or nickel silver as its raw material. In order to reduce the weight of the product and make it easier to carry, the thickness of these materials is controlled at about 0.2mm. Yes, this thin thickness has a good anti-interference effect. Is there any difference between the materials of these shielding covers? Generally speaking, nickel silver is used as the raw material of the shielding cover for soldering on the PCB because of its better soldering and heat dissipation performance. In fact, no matter what material is used, it will not hinder its normal function. If you need to know more about the shield, you are welcome to call
